Beadwork Project

Beadwork is part of Maasai heritage. In our hub, it also becomes a business skill.

Participants learn to design and make necklaces, bracelets and other items. They also learn how to price their work, keep simple records and find buyers.

What participants learn

• Bead selection, colour patterns and stringing techniques.
• Finishing and quality checks.
• Costing, pricing and basic record keeping.
• How to sell to visitors, shops and online customers.

Beadwork can be done at home, close to a baby. That makes it a good fit for young mothers.
